KMOU operates several places of Tourist spots in Kumaon

Naukuchiya Tal- Naukuchiya Tal, or the lake of the nine corners, is famous for its irregular shape.

 

 

 

Sattal- Picturesque spot, where nature reigns supreme in all her beauty, Sat Tal, or Seven Lakes; including Pania, Nal-Damayanti, Sita, Ram, Laxman, and the Sukha Tal

 

 

 

Nainital- Nainital occupies A Unique Position amongst the numerous lakes. At an elevation of 1,938 metres, with an extraordinary variety of scenery set off by imposing mountains, reflected in its limpid waters.

 

 

 

MUKTESHWAR- At an elevation of 2,290 metres, 45 km. from Guest House, charming town Mukteshwar is situated. Mukteshwar is famous for Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple and Veterinary Research Institute, established in 1898. Mukteshwar has attracted thousands of visitors for its sunset.   

 

 

Dense Forest- The Sattal wilderness, close to Guest House, is home to many species of wild life and food to various animals, birds and reptiles. It also provides opportunity to scientists, naturalists and tourists to study the wildlife in an open area.

 

 

 

 

Jageshwar Dham- In a beautiful narrow valley, surrounded by a dense forest of magnificent deodar monarchs, 94 km from Guest House, Jageshwar is believed to be the abode of twelve Jyotirling's. It is situated in a beautiful narrow valley surrounded by magnificent deodar trees. The complex, consisting of 124 temples and hundreds of statues, is famous not merely for its exquisite craftsmanship but also for its Swayambhu Linga named Nagesh Darukabane. The place is frequented by both religious as well as nature lover tourists. 

 

 

 

 

 

Almora- AT an elevation varying from 1,575 to 1,675 metres, 60 km. from Guest House, charming town Almora is situated. One time capital of Kumaon, several beauty spots surrounded this charming town- Kasar Devi-A place of Antique Beauty, Katarmal-Temple to the Sun God, Nanda Devi Temple, Chitai Temple, etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ranikhet- At an altitude of 1,829 metres, this hill station is undoubtedly a tourists paradise. 

 

 

Jim Corbett National Park- Home of the roaring tiger, trumpeting elephant and the warbling birds, the park has earned the name "Land of Roar, Trumpet and Song". Presenting a scene of remarkable beauty, nestling in the foot-hills of Uttarakhand. Wild game hunters came on 'safaris' from all parts of the world to go tiger hunting.
